Its like having dinner at Grandmas! The atmosphere is great! If you have to wait for a table, they have a porch with rocking chairs and checkerboards. They also have a hammok and a bean bag toss game to keep you occupied. The staff is very very friendly and the service is excellent! This place has been owned and run by he same family for 46 years! Inside the rooms are filled with antiques and an old style player piano plays happy tunes. The food is an all you eat southern buffet. The biscuits and corn bread are homemade. They come out hot with apple-butter and regular butter. The main food is fried chicken which is awesome. We would go back for sure!

I have been coming to this restaurant for 24 years now for good reason. It's great food, fantastic friendly service, family owned and run for the last 80 years, and delicious home style southern country buffet food. All of the food is served directly off of wood burning stoves. The price is good for what you get. Home style lemonade and sweet tea come with the buffet. Even neater is its in one of the oldest standing houses in Myrtle beach, with historic artifacts adorning the walls, and an old piano playing live. Amazing!! It is unlike any restaurant experience you have had I guarantee, and it's a must visit while in Myrtle Beach.

Very bland tasting food . Taste like hospital food . The only meat on the buffet is fried chicken and country ham . Everything taste like they just opened up a can of vegetables and heated them up in the microwave . They very badly need a new cook . My wife make me eat there , nothing seasoned no salt , Sweet tea taste like unsweet , chicken was cold and rubbery , clearly had been cooked a while

It's the kind of place you have to do once but,.....you don't have to do it twice. To be honest the atmosphere is unique, especially if you like antiques, and the service is exceptional. The food we thought was just okay. They have been in business for over forty years and there can be a two hour wait at times so it can't be all bad. We are glad we went once but probably won't be back.

Charming Southern restaurant... it's always packed (you can wait on the front porch) because it's good traditional Southern food. The location is an old house converted into a restaurant, food is served from cast iron pots on old iron stoves... it's a buffet and includes a drink (sweet tea, lemonade or water), really great fried chicken, good beef stew, sirloin tips in gravy (just ok), baked beans with pulled pork (very good), corn on the cob, collard greens, pinto beans, real mashed potatoes, candied yams, green beans and cabbage. It is a limited menu but done well and offers excellent service. It was $19.95/adult & .95 per year of age for the kids. A gentlemen plays the piano & sings during dinner... it was a really nice experience, we will likely stop here during every Myrtle Beach visit.
